Default Connect to same access point both using wired and wireless lan.

    Hello sirs.
I'm writing this with respect to my lan setup at office. Various laptops (running win 7) are connected to a central router for file and printer sharing. I Have used both wired and wireless lan for the purpose depending upon the location.

What i mean to ask is, is it possible to simultaneously use ethernet and WiFi to connect the very same network? Would it give any speed and stability benefit? Let me explain again. For the laptops already connected with ethernet; their WiFi adapters are sitting idle, how can i put them to good use?

I think it will give a " limited or no connectivity " error or conflicting IP will occur if you use both adapters to connect to same network. You cannot merge these to get better speed.

I tried the same on my lappy. Tried to connect ethernet cable when it is already connected to wifi. Had to disable one to proceed. I had DHCP enabled in the modem. Just for information. Please do wait for further comments.
