Smile Connecting Apple I Pod 4 Wifi via laptop/desktop

    Hi

I have recently bought Apple I pod touch 4 from Singapore. I want to connect I pod touch through Wi fi option. However, I want to connect it through the laptop/desktop which in turn is connected to internet via reliance high speed data card internet connection.

    How do I do it?

Simple. Install connectify on your wifi laptop with Windows 7. It will act as hot spot.

Connectify - Turn your Windows 7 laptop into a Wi-Fi Hotspot

    Thanks.

But what if I am on Windows XP and not on Windows 7............I think connectify works only if you have Windows 7.

Easier option : Upgrade to Windows 7 on one computer.

    Or

Please mention, modem - model and make

OS in machines intended to use.

    1. Configure your modem in PPPoE.

    2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

    3. In the TCP/IP properties of your connection, set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

    If it does not work,

    Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig/all, post the screen shot/ values.

    Feedback ..
