Thread: Suggestion for new router

I have a NetGear DG834G router which is causing download corruption of large files. Can someone please suggest a new ADSL Modem + router that can support 4 wired and 6 wireless connections?

Which format are you using ? FAT32 or NTFS. In FAT 32, files above 4 GB are not supported.

I was referring to files of size 10 MB and more

I have to download five or six times to get a non corrupted file. It is impossible to download files over 100 mb. I tried to download Eclipse IDE several times, but every time it got corrupted. Then I tried to download it via torrent and it was successful, in first attempt itself. I re-downloaded, and it was again successful. A quick search on Google showed that it was a known problem with NetGear.

There are lots of people facing this problem. It has something to do with MTU configuration.

Btw, any suggestion on my original question about recommended routers?
