Thread: Cannot change authentication type on Binatone DT 845W

Faced this problem after i resetted my router to factory settings, the authentication type box is greyed out and i cannot choose anything except WPA2 Enterprise and it won't let me set my own password too.

confirm you get connected in wifi mode.

I can discover the wifi from my devices but it won't let me connect as it doesnt allow me to set the password for WPA2 Enterprise mode. I want to change it.
I'm using Airtel broadband.

I am facing the same problem.

I went to the screen mentioned in your post, disabled CWMP and restarted the router.

Still, the wireless authentication type is disabled.

Is that was I should have done?

Appears there are 4 choices for SSID.
the first one could be default code.
Try ssid 2 3 4.
try without authentication ( No security key)
then wep ( use only a to g and numbers 1 to 9)
then WPA TKIP etc.
Also about Radius server. details later.
the WPA TKIP etc.

I tried,

All the 4 SSID have some default Authentication type, which appears disabled in each case.
Luckily, SSID 2 is the only one which has authentication type as WEP-64 bits

However, when i select SSID 2, the entire screen gets disabled, even the save button. (refer attached screenshot)

Thus I am not able to use SSID 2

does the ssid MGMMT or Management appear in Network list ?

Enter 0987654321 as key.

Can anyone confirm Dlink Adsl 502T router can be replaced by Belkin N150 Enhanced Wireless Router Part No#F6D4230-4. Will it support my MTNL broadband connection as MTNl suggest to used ADSL ROUTER.

If DSL502T is working you can use use above BELKIN for wifi mode.

DSL502T is ADSL router (modem).
How many systems you have ?desktops/laptops/smartphones ?

Ya, but the full screen gets disabled when i select SSID 2.
I am not able to change anything.
Refer attachment.
All buttons, text-boxes, radiobuttons, are disabled.

Better exchange the model if purchased new.
appears default factory settings for AIRTEL ISP>

Check the Firmware version in STATUS Device info.
Download Upgrade tool. and try the other version.

In XP's interface, right-click | Properties
on the wireless adapter in
Control Panel |
Network Connections,
then go to the Wireless Networks tab
and manually
add the network to the bottom section.

At present I am using Dlink ADSL 502T modem and only my desktop is connected to it..... I need to connect my desktop, laptop and my cell phone to my internet connection so am planning to buy belking 150 wirlless modem as it is cheap and affordable, so befor buying belkin 150 modem ,need to confirm it will work on my MTNL broad band connection

Yes it will work for MTNL BB.wifi router
Connect DSL 502 T in "always On" PPPOE mode
Enable DHCP.
( userID/PW stored in WAN page of modem )
The RJ45 cable from DSL502t will go to WAN port of the WIFI router .
AnotherRj45 from wifi router to desktop .
Laptops in wifi mode. ( no cables )
