Thread: My ADSL2+ Router WLAN Light problem

hello friends i have ADSL2+ ROUTER i am able to connect to net through ethernet cable but not able to connect wirelessly because few months back my WLAN light stopped working i dont know what happen its just light up when i power on the router but afterwards it stops when all other lights are on please help me out as i am not able to attend my lecture properly.

My router is not mention at your provided site and what card data i need to copy at cmd screen

Presume modem SSID is not visible in your laptop.

1. Best and easiest way, take back up of settings, reset the router and configure again.

2. Check if there is any encryption for wireless connection. If yes, remove and check.

3 Basic steps

a. Configure your modem in PPPoE mode.

b. Enable DHCP in your modem.

c. In the TCP/IP properties of your connection (all machines), set " Obtain IP address automatically.

my TCI/IP was set as told by you already and how to check encryption layer is there or not and how to reset my router once i tried its stopped working but thank god after sometime it started but still WLAN problem exist

Check whether your router has a reset switch. But before that, take a back up of current settings and save it on your PC. You can later restore the settings using this back up if settings got corrupted.

If there is no switch , there will be a small hole at the bottom side of your (looks like ventilation hole) router, use a pen refill, press hold the reset key for say 30 seconds (please note that the modem is ON while you attempt it).

This will reset the modem which you can configure it back to working condition by manually entering the values (don't use back up).

In your computer:

Did you create a wlan in your computer ?
Start/All programs/Accessories/Communications/
Create new wireless internet connection.
Does an Icon (new ) appear in Task bar.

2. Start From menu select Network
Show all connections :
Do you get a wifi network ?

wait ........

Mention your OS ( above for Windows XP )
Then check Ipconfig /all
Similar to LAN all details will appear.

Wireless Icon appears in Taskbar Now ?
Double click icon:
Select your ssid and select status.
Run Diagnose
