Unhappy Weird Broadband Problem. Please help!

    Hi..

Im using a local broadband provider and it has a static IP.

The modem is connected to the router, Netgear WGR614.

And from the router, one iMAC and one PC and one Dlink 16 port switch (DES 1016D) is connected.
To that switch, 10 other PCs are connected.

    Now, here is the problem.

After everything 30-40 minutes, on all the windows machines, many websites go dead.

    For example, google.com , twitter.com , msn.com , etc etc.

Many sites open fine and Skype chat and everything is fine.

    But websites stop opening.

Then it automatically starts working after 10-15 minutes of such inactivity.

    Im confused, whats the problem.

This only happens on the windows PCs , but never on the iMac.

All the sites work just perfect on iMac, even when such weird thing happens on the windows.

So, whats up with it ?

    Anyone got an idea ?

Please select the modem you are using from this list, and give the details here.

Mention the tariff plan in use. for about 12 PC's connected.

May be a DNS problem. Try Open DNS and check.

    Default Try The Hosts File

    In C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc folder
Open The Hosts File With Notepad
And Check If These Sites Are Listed In It...If They Are....Remove Them...
