Thread: How to configure Buffalo N150 Router with Beetel 220bx modem having Mtnl Delhi conn.

Hi All,

I have purchased yesterday a Buffalo Router N150 model No- WCR-GN for rs 1200. After spending a whole full day to configure the same i was unsuccessful. Although 2 years back I have successfully configured my airtel adsl modem to work for MTNL broadband but now this router is giving me a hell lot of pain.

I request all the members here to kindly help me to use my broadband wirelessly.

Presume you are using Beetel220BXI in "alwaysOn" mode PPPoE.
( usernamePW entered/stored in Wan Page of modem )
Enable dhcp ( In Lan menu page)
VPI/VCI for MTNL 0 and 32.

Try ethernet mode and then try wifi.

I have already done all the things you mentioned, The problem i face is that as mtnl uses specific DNS servers i.e. 203.94.243.70 primary & 203.94.227.70 secondary. Now when i connect this router and i do these as ipv4 settings. the network center says as unidentified network & when i put it on to obtain dns automatically it says u r connected but never opens a web page.
I need a solution as to how to configure a router when u have to define IPV4 ip & dns setting manually and not to obtain automatically.

One more thing i have a n option of using the device either as a Router or Bridge . Kindly confirm at present i have checked & tried to configured it as a Router where Beetel 220BX is used as Modem. Is it correct?

yeepee finally i managed to setup my buffalo router in 3 easy steps without using any guide.
step 1 :- change the ip & dns setting to obtain it automatically
step 2 :- go to 192.168.11.1
step 3 :- go to Run the Internet Connection Wizard (Easy Setup) after disconnecting *in Internet Information
