Default ZyXEL P-660R-T1 v2 with MTNL - Can't get to configuration page

    Hey,

I got a new Internet connection with MTNL TriBand today. I have their modem (Starlite) but I wish to use my own ZyXEL modem(model and make mentioned in the title).

The issue is, whenever I go to 192.168.1.1 and I log in, I am directed to the status page. I don't have any options to configure. I have attached the only 2 pages that I can see.

(Also, I can communicate with my modem only when I enter Default Gateway address in LAN Connection properties.)

Please help ASAP 'cause I have to return the MTNL modem. Thanks.

But my internet doesn't work on the ZyXEL modem. I think its cause I have to enter my username (my_landline_no@a) and password. How do I do that?

I've gone through the guide. Nothing seems to work out for me. I can't get to enter my internet credentials too.

    Check out attachments.

    check advanced WAn page.
    192.168.1.1 PW 1234 for vpi/vci settings.
    If still problem
    RESET and try again.

You didn't understand my issue. I can't get to the configuration page on the Zyxel.

All I get is the login page, and when I login, I am directed to the Status page. I can't get to any other page. (Check my first post)

I don't mean to offend you. I, quite precisely, specified that I can't get to the config page. Just those 2 pages. How can I get to the wizard when I just can't? All I get is the login page and the Status page and NOTHING else.

ok, do you did any hardware reset in the form a 'hole behind or underneath the modem?

if , so can you press it for 10 sec, while modem is ON and perhaps it resets the modem and thereafter you might find other pages. let us try

getting copy of user guide or CD of the modem may not be an issue. even if i procure and make a copy, how do i send ? if the content is not large , then i can mail, provided the email is given as pm

Essbebe has a reason to ask you to resett the modem. the manual reads like this...
    "Resetting the ZyXEL Device

If you forget your password or cannot access the web configurator, you will need to use theRESET button at the back of the ZyXEL Device to reload the factory-default configurationfile. This means that you will lose all configurations that you had previously and the password will be reset to “1234”."

you may have to completely re configure to MTNL VPI/VCI etc as if it is a new modem. now if you need the user manual , a quick start guide is here
    ftp://ftp.zyxel.dk/P-660R-T3_v2/quic...-T3%20v2_2.pdf

i think you have to use 1234 as password for openig the setting pages
    after a reset
    then select Vci and VPI
then try setting pppoe set up to enable modem to login independent of your PC
if power i ON modem would login.
it helps using laptops etc either by lan cable to by wifi
later if you need wifi, you have to enable wifi
give a network name , say for example"aakdee net"
    then enable wpa & psk
then you have to set up security password.

perhaps a cool follow of the Quick set up guide is more easier to practice

In fact Essbebe has provided more info that what i could
coolly follow and i am sure that you would reach success and you might login with your own modem as per him , VPI/VCI for MTNL 0 and 32

sorry i never knew that this modem doent have wifi/////

Well for 2 days now, I have been trying to configure the ZyXEL modem.

I'm on the MTNL (Starlite) modem right now with my TRENDnet router. Everything works out fine like this. But ZyXEL doesn't work.

    I'll try configuring again tomorrow.

Get that quick installation guide, perhaps you can just manage with that 11 pages instead of 132 pages.

service name may be "TRIband" or what ever you said. especially use 0 and 32 LAN and PPPOE configurations, once set and saved
    it should now work.
    All the best.
