Thread: Want to Combine the broadband speed of two seperate individual internet connections

I use Windows XP with SP3 (32 bit)
I have two internet connections
a) Triband from MTNL (wired broadband)
b) 3G broadband from MTNL

Now as I see that both the connections are online and working, but seems only one broadband works while the other is idle.

Is there a software or way whereby the speeds of the two internet connections can be combined so that for one particular job both the internet connections bring in separate packets and thus the combined speed is the sum of the two internet connections

Not possible to combine speed of the two connections.
Even with Dual WAN routers only one connection at a time to one system.

In simple words, not possible. But you can try using a load balancing router (very costly) and get near to similar effects. Apart from the fact that such a set up will cost around Rs. 10,000, you may need to be very good in networking to set it up. It would have been easy for you if both were ADSL connections. But one ADSL and one 3G is too complex. Also so secure sites like banking sites won't open in this set up.

The best thing you can do is assign different programs to choose separate connection. I think there is an software called Forcebind IP which does it for you. Give it a try.
