Thread: Bsnl prepaid broadband connection

Hi All,
I recharged a coupon of 200Rs online(data.bsnl.in) to my prepaid account.
I never went to customer care to activate prepaid services on my telephone. But looks like they have created on for me themselves. After recharging 200 successfully i can see my account details in data.bsnl.in. Now that i dont know how to configure my modem for that prepaid account. I have a postpaid connection on the same line(Home 500+).

Can someone tell me how do i use my prepaid connection?
How to configure the modem in order to select prepaid account usage instead of postpaid one?
How this prepaid broadband works?

I live in Bangalore. Called up customer care, its of no use. They just say "this is postpaid dept please contact another number" .

I think you are the first person to mention this facility in this Forum .
As details are lacking you have to post screen shot of the menu page you used to recharge your Prepaid BB card.
Probably when you open this menu Balance amount left will be shown.

Anyway you should have got a different
Usage portalUSERID/PW for your Prepaid account. to use in portal data.bsnl.in
Ask your Exchange BB section for 14digit UserID/PW
You have to enter the same telephone number and
.consumer number.
Not sure whether day to day usage data is recorded for Prepaid BB service.
