001;Post as attachment *.doc ipconfig /all

    002:
Did you try the Diagnose option in Network settings page.
    003:
Any other wifi SSID appearing ( secured/unsecured)
Disconnect Lan cable when trying for WIFI mode ( in same computer laptop)
    004:
If OS is windows7 try application "Connectify " to make the laptop as an Access point. ( for other wifi systems ) Lan cable to remain connected.

I am able to connect to the Internet using my LAN port.....
Please do not use full quote immediately from Previous post.
    I know what I posted>
What is the DHCP range you had entered in the router ?
if error. Router Address is 192.168.0.1
Dhcp range will be 192.168.0.2 to say 192.168.0.10.

What the Connection status in ROUTER shows as error ? when only WIFI mode selected?
What message you got for "Diagnose" ( from Windows 7 self test )/

Did the entry 169.xx.xx.xx disappear from ipconfig /all?

You have Windows 7 and adslmodem+wifi router with Wizard set up.
Does the SSID as entered in wifi router appear in your computer?
( when you click the WIFI icon ?)
    Give feedback asked here.

Check whether Drivers have to be upgraded:

    QUICKFIX!
    Check/change MTU value to 1492 or 1480.
Computer settings OK. ( somewhere a minor tweak required.)
    checking up.

Replied to your PM. Try 1480 or lower.

    I got this

    H:\Users\arindamp>ping Google -f -l 1453

Pinging Google [74.125.236.50] with 1453 bytes of data:
Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set.

    H:\Users\arindamp>ping Google -f -l 1452

Pinging Google [74.125.236.50] with 1452 bytes of data:
    Reply from 74.125.236.50: bytes=1452 time=99ms TTL=57
    Reply from 74.125.236.50: bytes=1452 time=98ms TTL=57

Hence Optimal MTU size is 1452 + 28 = 1480, which I have set in the router. Still facing the problem.

I think, you are connected in LAN ethernet mode.
Problem only with WIFI still ? confirm.
I have a Netgear Wireless-N 150 ADSL2+ Modem Router DGN1000, which I am using with my MTNL broadband. I am facing a peculiar problem. I am able to connect to the Internet using my LAN port. But I am unable to connect to the Internet using my wireless adapter.

What "Diagnose" report you got for wifi connection ?

Do you find other SSID's ( secured Unsecured ) in WLan?

Did you try the Default SSID Key given by Netgear ?

Any Mac address filter page Disable.

Default NETGEAR DGN1000 adsl+wifi OS Vista wifi settings.

    WIFI router side :

    Update: settings are OK.
    http://i44.tinypic.com/5km62f.jpg
Disable MAC address list or white list.
click. connection status.. what error message you get ?

    Computer side :
Have you now set a WLAN network correctly in VISTA ?

SSID as set in Netgear should appear in WLAN network.
