    1. Mention your ISP.

    2. Which OS do you use ?

    3. Mention modem - model and make. Which mode are you in ? Dialer or PPPoE ?

    4. Do you use WiFi or ethernet ?

    5. Does the modem restart as well ?

    To do

    1. Try safe mode and see if it is happening.

    2. Reinstall network adapter driver.

    3. Switch between PPPoE and dialer. See if there is any difference.

Would have been nice if you gave feedback on suggestions.

    4. Try system restore to an older date when there was no restart and check.

Do not connect to Internet and carry out routine
    maintainance tasks.
    Ccleaner from filehippo.com
    http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
RUN AV application and scan fully.
    Feedback if same problem again.

Modem driver could mean LAN ethernet card drivers.
From same website download application for updates.

By feedback, I meant try the suggestions and update the result.

To update the driver, go to device manager > LAN card > Properties > Driver > Update / Uninstall driver.

You can also use motherboard driver CD or Windows update to update / re install driver.

Do try Ccleaner and see if there is any difference.

    Thanks for the reps.
