    ok firstly 2 procedures
    1. live streaming through net broadband or high speed net is required both sides
    2. wifi networking

You will need specialized equipments for live feed unless you find some way to stream input from camera using 3G or some high speed connection (very costly).

You can use the same technique as used in cctv cameras using webcams. YawCam does it for any camera and free too. Not sure if it will work in your case. But any way you will need a very high speed internet to achieve it.

suggestion :Use Skype and use a web cam camera at remote location.

Transfer the video/audio content from computer ( or a TV monitor connected to computer ) for retransmission on your cable local channel, (say Freq 175Mhz) via "modulator."
( Not familiar with set up in Cable TV operators Control room )

Our local cablewala (not a big setup) does a lot of live telecast. So that won't be a big thing I think. Not sure you are asking at the right place.

i want to telecast some program live from some place to my studio with out ant ( any) cable........
Distance involved 5 Kms to control room.

Once upon a time SUNTV started with a VHS recording cassette called
"poomalai" ( Garland of flowers) weekly program , and supplied to the independent Cable TV operators.
They had their own dish Antennae, and Satellite receivers/ modulators etc.

( Similar to the DTH set up now of DD, with a set top box)

The Cable operators also used to broadcast /use pirated cassette of newly released movies late at night !

In conferences/marriage halls, the video camera output is fed to
big screen TV's , and cables are laid from the control rack. You also see
live coverage of guests/ marriage couple ( with NewYork/London background etc !!!).
Now Wireless video cams and WIFI enabled TV sets are available.
    So far simple , I think. .

A web cam or different camera inputs to a DVR can be monitored at a distance location via Internet ( in your browser)anywhere in the world .
( usually IE with Active X plug ins )

When the distance involved is 5 Kms, except wireless mode , , any other method used by your cable operator will be of interest to all.
and the output should reach your Home TV , as usual.

Will await feedback from thread starter.

At last we have a question on this forum that I have an answer to

You have not mentioned the quality of video that you want to stream or the bandwidth required. You haven't mentioned wetheror not it is possible to get line of sight with some elevation.

From the little information you have provided if its just one stream and is high def then the only product that comes to my mind is a Motorola PTP 58600 5.8 Ghz bridge. I have worked with this setup myself and been able to push 300Mbps throughput for up to 8 kilometers without clear line of sight and with clear line of sight I have seen 300Mbps max throughput at 50 kilometers.

Motorola claims are a little different but these are the distances I have done for a client and its been running for more then three years now no issues atall.

If you are working on a budget then post your budget for the setup and I might be able to suggest something cheaper.
