    Default Internet Connection to PS3

    Hi Friends,

I have a BSNL 3G USB datacard (dongle). I want to use the internet connection setup using that dongle, on the PC or Laptop and use that live connection, on the PS3. I have a wi-fi router also, in this regard. My theory is, first set-up the connection on the PC/laptop, then connect the router to the PC/laptop using wire(RJ45)/wireless and then connect the router to the PS3, with vice-versa of the first connection. I know, use of data-card on PS3 is very costly, but it would really help me as a portable solution. Can anyone, please guide me, whether my "theory" is practically possible or not. If it is, can you please guide me also, to set it up. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Use Connectify on your laptop and make it a hotspot. You can connect PS3 to it.

Hi meetdilip....Very thanks for the reply...I tried Connectify...but its not working....I think, because, it is a company PC and they might have some group policy settings defined in their OS, which limits the functionality.

If PS3 supports LAN cable, use your PC as server and connect to it.
