Default 4 broadband connection into 1 pc, is it possible?

    hi,
i just wanted to know whether it's possible to connect more then one broadband connection (ADSL) to a single pc & use them simultaneously coupling their bandwidths. for example i would want to add four 512KBps line in a single pc & use their combined resulting bandwidth i.e. 2048 KBps all at the same time, now is their a way to do so? i just had a crazy thought adding 4 different ethernet cards in a single pc & attach one seperate broadband connetion to each one of them, but this is just an idea, just theory & i don't really know whether it's even going to work in reality or if it's that feasible as it sounds?
anyone with a solution kindly provide me with the same, i'll be heartly thankful.

    Project:
    Four ADSL Broadband/Phone connections u/l 512 Kbps. Home 750.
    Four adsl modems
Four ethernet cards in Single PC.
All connected to same web site.
Download at say combined 2 Mbps speed.

    Cost:

    Rs 750 x 4 Rs 3000/= P.M ( recurring ) + tax 10.3%
initian cost 4 modems Rs 4000/=
3 ethernet cards ( say about Rs 2000/=)
download from same web site same data /application/ at 2Mbps speed .
    Will NOT work !

Why not opt for a SINGLE 2 Mbps u/l connection ?

It won't work in normal setup. You need a load balancing router for that. It is a bit costly than regular ones and have issues with secure sites like banking portals.

This is definitely not possible even with four NICs. At best it will establish four independent internet connections and only one of them will be active.

Many people have raised similar doubts/queries. The answer is NO.

Lately MTNL started offered ADSL connections that supported something termed Line Bonding. The underlying idea is the same. To bond multiple ADSL broadband connections and to use the entire bandwidth as a single line connection. We need to use specialized routers such as P-663H-51 or P-663HN-51 to bond the ADSL connections.

As a rule of thumb, it is better to bond ADSL services provided by different providers than opting for multiple lines with multiple plans from the same provider.
