    Default Adapter for Belkin N150

    All,

I recently bought Belkin N150 wireless router from USA. I guess that the Switching adapter that came with it is not for Indian standards.

    The adapter has Input 100-120 V ~ 50/60 Hz 0.3A
    Output is +12v 1A.

Can this be used in India?
If not what, then what is the alternative?

    Regards,
    Viraj

    OPTION 1:
Take the unit to nearest electronic (computer shop)
buy 230 volts~AC input type. type.
    Check output plug/suitability/ Polarity.

Buy a 4 way type connector if needed.
Switching adapters may not be available. cost around Rs 200/= to Rs 250/=
(MRP on box will show more !!)

    OPTION2:

Buy a small step down Transformer 230v~AC to 110~AC.
10 Watts will do. ( American type output socket type available )

    Option 3:
If you use 12 V battery based standby(UPS) supply
Wifi router can be directly connected to battery.( Observe Polarity )
