Thread: Unable to browse internet via WiFi

Hi all,

I had recently purchased a DLink 2750u ADSL WiFi router. I am facing multiple problems while trying to connect to internet via WiFi.

(Note - I am able to browse Internet via Ethernet. I haven't faced any issues)

1. I am browsing internet via Ethernet on my Desktop PC. During this time I am not able to browse internet via Laptop (WiFi Connection).

However, if I disable Ethernet port, I am able to browse internet using Laptop (When encryption and MAC address filtering is disabled).

2. When I enable MAC address filtering (WiFi Connection), I am not able to browse internet. The same problem is seen when I enable encryption.

I suspect there is some setting/configuration in my DLink 2750u Modem which might be causing this issue.

It would be of great help if someone can help.

Connect in PPPoE mode ( userid/pw stored in modem )
Enable DHCp. Range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.1168.1.10
Enable UpnP ( if seeen in WAN page )

@tpzbonanza: You must have got a software cd with your D'link router right.

Please follow there steps and try.

Step 1: Disconnect all the connections and connect only your D'link router to your laptop

Step 2: Put the software cd in the cd drive, and run it.

Step 3: Take a screen shot of the first screen and post it in the forum. I will study it.

User can use desktop and surf in lan ethernet mode.
User can surf in wifi mode in laptop.
Problem: now
(a)But cannot use both at the same time.
(b). When I enable MAC address filtering (WiFi Connection),
I am not able to browse internet.
(c)The same problem is seen when I enable encryption.
