Default Should I replace my BSNL modem?

    Hi,

For over 3 months I have been facing a unique problem with my BSNL Nokia Siemens SL2_141 modem. For no apparent reasons, the modem gets disconnected and then after a few minutes re-connects and disconnects. The cycle goes on if the modem has been ON for half an hour or so.

I had this problem last year too, but it got fixed by itself and I had good internet for almost 6 months.

All the lights on the modem are "off" except the power and the LAN light. BSNL engineers are asking me to replace the modem with a new one but I am skeptical of their advise. This modem from BSNL lasted just for 1.5 years and the new modem they are suggesting (Teracom) costs Rs.2500.

Please advise if there is a way by which I can fix my existing modem.

    Thanks

Your SNR and Attention Values are Very Good...I guess the problem is with modem itself..
Also You can buy other routers for less than 2000/- from other companies..Try Ebay

Thanks. I am planning to buy one of these:
Asus DSL-N10 Wireless-N ADSL Modem Router- Rs. 2136
    D-Link DSL-2750U Wireless N ADSL2+ 4-Port Wi-Fi Router - Rs 2558

    are these compatible with BSNL?
