Generally, static IP is better for online services, since a lot of them require your IP to work. I think you can ask to your Internet provider how to obtain a static IP.

A software can never "assign ip address", its assigned by the internet service provider. So, if you really need a static one, talk to your service provider and they'll do that at a nominal cost.

I am actually surprised to read over here that the IP address allocation has effects on online gaming. This is news to me.

@toxic Whatever software you are using is using a proxy server so every time you turn it on your connection goes through that proxy whatever it is configured to. It is most probably a trial if you are not paying for it because providing such a service costs money and I dont see any reason wh ysome one would set up servers and let you use them for free. Not just that but this will also increase latency and your gaming experience would get worse then what you get by connecting without the proxy.

And as cool techi mentioned above I dont see any reason why having a static IP would give you better results.

That static IP (as seen in the picture) is the systems internal LAN IP address. It is not the IP address that is seen by the outside world. Your modem/router's IP address is something given by the service provider. Service providers assign a static IP only for high-end plans or those opting for leased connections like corporates.
