Default How To Increase range of Wifi Router/modem

I have 300Mbps wireless modem (class N) on second floor. On the first floor I have WiFi router (N Class) having IP 192.168.0.1 .
On the ground floor I a unable to use wifi if i select the modem. It shows no range.

Is there any way that I can use that modem on wifi so that I can remove the router from first floor.

A wifi repeater that you can plug into any electric socket is the best solution. Just stick it somewhere mid way and it should work fine.

How much does a good repeater cost? It seems like a good idea as it would save money on getting an additional connection.

A good repeater can cost anywhere between Rs1700 to Rs2500.

Rickster it may seem like a joke, but it is the little things like this which can actually boost signals.
