Thread: Huawei WA1003A Modem IP Address config

Hi All,

My HuAWEI router modem has got a strange problem. I once tried to reset my modem by pressing the reset key. But then onwards The default IP address 192.168.0.1 has changed to 169.254.239.232. I reinstalled my OS but it didn't work.Also the admin page which earliar used to open at 192.168.0.1 is now not opening at either of the above addresses. My modem works fine but I am unable to configure it using the console. I need to configure it for wireless connectivity.

Can anyone help?

dude, the default ip address ought to be 192.168.1.1, not 192.168.0.1.

anyways, change ur lan card ip settings to 192.168.1.x (x>1), 255.255.255.0 and add gateway as 192.1681.1..

Correction. Some modem/routers do have the default IP address as 192.168.0.1.

@samik, the IP address 169.254.239.232 in your pc means that pc is not able to connect to router. Please change TCP/IP properties to automatic.
