If someone wants to use this s/w with "Huawei SmartAX MT882" Modem then he/she can see this thread :-
http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...ei-router.html (Need help with scheduling rebooting of Huawei router)
My model is D-link 802c
I have attached my test.txt file. I have tried numerous times with many changes but still unable to get it running. Someone please help me and edit the file and post or attach it back. My OS is Vista
What telnet client do u use to run this text file. ?? Please give full details frnd.
Oh..I tried the text file input in telnet tool - tst10.exe ....
And i modified the textfile based on the tool and my modem.
I opened tst10.exe ..
And logged in to my modem..
I saw what all happened when i gave different commands and tried rebooting the modem using Reboot command.. Now for text file modification;;;;
U hav given a " " or a "*" for WAIT command..Try modifying to the text u get when u try manually in the tool..Like if u open tool directly and u type 192.168.1.1 23..it will ask for username like.. "Login:" and then u ll hav the cursor to type in the username..So change ur command as
WAIT "Login:" -->this text corresponds to the text u get in the telnet tool..
SEND "admin\m"..
then
WAIT "Password:" -->this text also corresponds to the text u get in the telnet tool..
SEND "admin\m"
I did the same for all the commands..and i got it working..Tell me if this was helpful..
Thanks a ton
here it is the log.
So i have rebooted now, but still the connection has to be dialled. I guess to use this utility one need to be in PPPOE mode.20/02/2009 21:11:55 > Imran's Broadband Helper Started.

Have you verified the logs with the modem lights.
Also verify this with the BSNL Usage Page.

Ya..I forgot to mention that..The modem should be in PPPoE mode only..I tried only in that mode..I didnt try in Bridged or Dial mode..:thumbup:
Verified it with the router lights but yet to check portal
Ya verified Friend..It works..I rebooted the modem ..And i checked the usage page after 2 hours or so where a new session was started at rebooted time exactly.... So no problem at all..
Good.
Thanks,
Its a blessing for all us Home 500C plan users!
I have 2 ques to ask u nethack!
1) How do I know whether my my modem has been rebooted or not ?
2) I use BSNL Broadband service. To connect to the internet I have to first
switch on the modem and when the "link" slot lights up, I have to open my
network connection (I have named it Broadband), enter username &
password provided by the BSNL office and then click on "connect" (I have
saved the username & password so I just need to click "connect").
Now, when I click on disable NIC in Imran Broadband
helper, it disconnects
the network connection (in the same way as right clicking on the network
connection icon "broadband icon" followed by clicking disconnect would
have).
When I click on enable NIC (or schedule enable NIC)
Imran Broadband Helper program is supposed is to connect the network
connection(Broadband connection in my computer), but how can it as
I would not have specified my username & password ? Is there any special
place where I have to enter my username & password in Imran Broadband
Helper program? Should I specify in reboot.text ? But when I dothat a
message appears saying -"Invalid user name or password" . And when I
enter "admin" as username & password the program accepts it.
the thing you are expressing ok, i also excemine the on fully to know all details. any way its a nice post. all the best
Start the Computer at say 09:00 PM, Schedule some big downloads, and go for ur sweet dreams (optionally turn off the Monitor - save power).............
Imrans Broadband Helper Utility
@yasserhussain11
Read at least the posts from 80 onwards. If still not satisfied, read from Post No 1.!!!
Only after downloading the program and trying it
yourself, ask further questions.
From Post 861) How do I know whether my my modem has been rebooted or not ?

So i have rebooted now,
but still the connection has to be dialled.

well y ur file is 5mb? when on the original website its only 1.5mb
here is direct link for the utility : http://imran-utilities.synthasite.co...bandHelper.zip
as i have no nite unlimited.....i am not trying it.
You must have "tst10.exe" to run..Google it and download.:cool2:
File : reboot.txt
192.168.1.1 23
WAIT "Login:"
SEND "admin\m"
WAIT "Password:"
SEND "\madmin\m"
WAIT "Login:"
SEND "admin\m"
WAIT "Password:"
SEND "admin\m"
WAIT
SEND "reboot\m"
WAIT
SEND "exit\m"
File: reboot.bat - Create a batch file with the following code in it..
tst10.exe /r:reboot.txt
Put all these 3 files (tst10.exe, reboot.txt, reboot.bat) in a SINGLE directory.
Now when u run the batch file....:14:
Charm.....Ur UT300R2U modem reboots...
Schedule this Batch file to run at 2.01 AM.
Schedule ur torrent client or download manager to run at 2.05 AM or later..
Note:
My kind advice is - For torrent clients schedule at 2.10 AM.. Becos If sometimes modem takes too long to reboot and u have scheduled ur torrent client at 2.05 AM, then it tries to update trackers when u r not connected to internet and so gets an error and tracker status will be "Tracker offline" or "Connection refused" , etc,etc...... Then it schedules the next tracker update after a long time and u will lose most of your free download time.. I hav experienced this once.. The torrent never downloaded.. i woke up at 5 , restarted utorrent again to start my download...
:cool2:
Is the above code working for any other modem....???

While using the Imran's Broadband Utility If you want to see what exactly is going on when the program is executing the script(using the debugging feature), just follow this:-
1) save a reboot script like this one in the reboot.txt file
192.168.1.1 23
WAIT "*"
SEND "admin\m"
WAIT "*"
SEND "admin\m"
WAIT "*"
SEND "help\m"
WAIT "*"
SEND "reboot\m"
WAIT "*"
SEND ""
2) Schedule a reboot after One/Two minute, then double click on the label "Hour" under Modem Tab.
3) Now at the scheduled time you will be able to see (in the form of some messagebox's) a detailed conversation between Imran's BB utility and your modem.
