Instead of setting to reboot at 2.10, set to reboot now and check whether it is working fine. No need to wait till midnight.

u mean to say i reboot using my script now..??? then in that case it wil reboot perfectly..i hav been checkin that since last 2-3 dys.. the problem which i may have is the modem is on after 11 til 2 and it dnt do any work.. in some posts i found..bsnl ppl disconnects the connections automatically if there is no activity in certain period..especially in night.. can it be..?

No. Most of the user keep the modem On at night. BSNL will not disconnect. You can simply change your system time to 2.00 am and check. Disabling NIC will ensure that it remain off till 2.10 am.

bang@!!!!... .still today nothings has worked for me.. when i woke up at 4.02 am... my utorrent was at (O) KBPS.. i tried for 192.168.1.1.. NoResponse..@!@ i switched off and on the modem... then everything worked very well .. 232KBPS my max.. but in the morning it was jst 150MB.. that can be downloaded by maximum 4.30-5am ... i donno what to do.. can it be because of heat produced in modem.. coz modems do produces heat.. and after constant 232KBPS.. it might have stopped link with pc and bla bla.. whatever ..any body having ANYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY idea..?? plzzzzz

1. Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser and check whether you can access the modem.

2. Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig/all, post the screen shot or values.

go through the files plz.. still 2 screen shots r remaining.. hope can send in next round.. among them 1 is very imp..

Try Imran's Broadband Helper Utility. You can use it in PPPoE mode. Here is the script

If you can access modem pages, it means you can access 192.168.1.1. Use the above method, it is easy.

ya.. i can access 192.168.1.1.. now..
if i use imran's the problem is still the same..
imran's .. also works by making telnet connection to 192.168.1.1.. my batch files does the same thing.. so the main problem here is at night.. since i can't connect to 192.168.1.1... i can't reboot my modem.. it is IMPOSSIBLE with out accessing 192.168.1.1... in any case.. and what DHCP..?? Lease Time..?? IP Routing..?? can they help..??

I am not sure how you cannot you cannot connect only during night. Please try Imran's and update. Check whether you can reboot through Imran. If yes, you issue is resolved. I still feel batch file method will be more effective.

i can reboot my modem now with both the things.. batch files and imran's.. have tested them BOTH many times..

my scripts works the same way.. by makin telnet connection.. then transferring uname-pwrd..and then sending command to reboot the modem..

imran's has not solved the problem as i had mentioned in my very first post..

the problem is same in both the cases..

What is the error log you are getting in Imran's utility.
Have you checked the checkbox under Connectivity tab.

hi there, can you plz tell me the step by step settings for Imran's Broadband Helper? I am a new use of internet and have HOME500 NU connection of BSNL. i hv the setup file of this cool software. but i am not able to set it. my modem type is ZTE ZXDSL 831AII.
and what is this Telnet? i am not having this option anywhere in my modem configurations. please help me really, i am getting very frustrated due to daily staying awake till 2.30 or 3 am & then again waking up at 7.30 am.

confirm your OS: is it XP or Vista ?

In XP based system ;Start RUN
type telnet
new window
type ? ( for commands)
type help ( for more)

IN Vista telnet is usually disabled.
but can be activated.

Also Google TST10 telnet program.

i am not sure which telnet pgm Imran's application needs.

I tried to configure it a hell lot of times!!!!! And every time i was unable to do it's settings. Although the app is really helpful but can u guide me through its configuration step by step?
