Hii all, I have a problem. I've Huawei QA1003A Modem, Home 500C plan.
The script for restarting the modem was working fine till recently.
Now when i reboot the modem, telnetting to 192.168.1.1 passing uname and pwd, the reboot happens but, the internet won't work. The problem will solve only when i manually reboot the modem by pressing the switch.
Any clue as to what could be causing the problem. My night plans is going waste from past month because of this problem .help Desperately needed

Hi,
I downloaded the software...
What next????
BSNL is has now developed somewhat
now they turn off their meter from 2AM to 8AM.so need not to reboot.
just schedule utorrent to download from 2AM to 8AM.
but this has been done to mostly to customers with ip adress 117.****
this is not for 59.*** i hink.......but first try it.
get up early in the morning and start ur net from 7:40AM to 8:20AM.
and check ur usage after 1 day.if u don't see the usage from 7:40AM to 8:00AM then u have the feature..........but check 2-3 times for full safety.
"LIFE IS LIKE AN ICE-CREAM SO ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS U CAN"
just an experiment.
7:40AM is NU period while 8:20AM is non NU period.
so usage from 7:40AM to 8:00AM will not be recorded as BSNL meter is off till 8AM.from 8:01AM to 7:20AM u will be charged.so to experiment we will see if we need to reboot modem or not.after 1 day see ur usage and if the usage between 7:40AM to 8:00AM is not visible, then u can say ur service is activated and u need not to reboot modem.but if the usage from 7:40AM to 8:00AM is visible then ur service is not activated and u need to reboot ur modem at 8:00AM.
it was just an experiment to see that whether we need to reboot modem or not?
7:40AM to 8:20AM is not fixed......u can take any from NU to non NU period.
actually what i meant is that whats the need to keep the modem on till 8.20 am we can switch it off much before say 8.05 or 8.10am.
Please can anyone upload "Imran's Broadband Helper Utility". it seems that it can't be downloaded from rapidshare as well as from imran's site thru ziddu.
PLEASE TAKE A NOTE OF THIS AND REPLY

well the thing is that i use IDM. and u can't shut it off.
Unfortunately ziddu doesn't support these download managers and hence m getting the problem.
it would be better if there is any other source for that s/w.
i'd be grateful.
Thanks in advance.
Try jdownloader.........The best download manager for 1-click hosters like rapidshare, mediafire, hotfile and of course ziddu.com...........
and almost every host you can think of........
If you are on bridge mode, you can use the batch file method here for reconnection for cryptload.....
http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...apidshare.html (Using cryptload to download from Downloading from One-Click-Hosters like Rapidshare..)
I accept that it is a great appln for downloading from all the file sharing sites. But am disappointed with its "downloads scheduler" feature. Till date, I have not figured out how to schedule a download bet 2am to 8 am as opposed to IDM which is simply so user-friendly.
If you were successful in scheduling downloads thro Jdownloader bet 2 am to 8 am, can you pls share as to how u did it? If possible with screenshots?
To circumvent this problem I am currently using macro manager to auto-click the start download button of the jdownloader. This is method is so round-about as opposed to a simple download scheduling in the appln itself.
I have PMed u as well reg this

Try updating jre to 1.6
Here is the link.........
Download Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.18 - FileHippo.com
Try the new superb BSNL specific connection manager Night Downloader (Night Downloader- Best BSNL Night Download Manager) to schedule any of your two Applications to launch after 2 am and close before 8 am.
P.S.- you may use this Application with other ISPs too.
