You can add only two DNS entries - primary and secondary.

    Default Hi

Thanks alot for the very informative thread..

after 3years i have again taken a connection from bsnl broadband, now in 900 uld plan(4mbps till 8gb-512kbps unlimited)..here im posting my snr values..

    SNR Margin(dB): 33.1(dn)-28.5(up)
    Attenuation(dB): 31.5(dn)-15.7(up)
    Output Power(dBm): 12.3(dn)-13.7(up)
    Rate (Kbps): 1996(dn)-493(up)

my problem is im getting only 215KB download speed and internet led on modem(ulstarcom ut300r2u) stops blinking every 5-10 min..and again starts with in 30-60sec..i dont know why this frequent disconnections happening..

can some one help me with this..?

    thanks

Your line attenuation is too high and it looks like your connection is capped at 2mbps. You have to ask SDE to raise the cap at 4mbps

thanks alot max, line rate got changed to 3998... now getting 400-430KB download speed....but disconnection problem still persists..now it happens with lower frequency(every 20min to 40min..).. what should i be doing to bring down the attenuation rate? every thing looks ok on wiring part..wire connects directly from pole to splitter, no breakage in between...and exchange is located around 1.5km.. could that be an issue?
