Thread: UT300-R2U Ver 2.2 - Guide for setting up

hello while upgrading my modem, windows was also installing update and asked me for a reboot by the time modem has asked me for the reboot and i rebooted the system- from that time my UT300R2U MODEM crashed,
can any one help me to restore or correct the modem so that i can run it properly.

Reset the modem to factory settings, by using the RESET switch or access point in the rear ( with modem power on for about 20 to 30 seconds )
Access192.168.1.1 admin admin for new settings.

Power,status,ADSl & usb lights are on as soon as i switch on though i've disconnected the usb & connected the ethernet.
Is there any other way like manufacture software.. or somthing else

the process was 1st to update the firmware and then reboot and then insert the serial no. of modem by the Putty.exe,
ur much knowledgeble and u might know by this process which firmware i was going to do.......

Option 1 :
You can create a "Dialer" mode . Enter userID/PW in computer
Dialer window . What is the error message ?
Option 2 :
In computer:
Start RUN
Type cmd
Press OK
New Window
type ipconfig /all
The default gateway will be 192.168.1.X

There is no option "communication" in all programs/accessories in win7 start menu.

When i connect the ethernet cable it says unidentified network, there is some software problem in the dsl modem,
Actually computer cannot identify the modem as an hardware, Is it possible to repair the dsl modem thro' some software of the manufacture, if any such exists?

With this modem you can connect only in LAN mode or USB mode(USB drivers might not work for Windows 7)

Before crash, i've updated the firmware and was about to insert the serial no. according to the help file as uploaded, by that time win7 upadation booted the system and the dsl modem crashed. Is it possible to revert the updation of the firmware or run putty.exe and complete the further process- that could be the only way,
Actually Putty.exe doesnot run- it opens for a fraction of second and closes- every time i try to open it,

Now when i turn on the dsl modem via USB, Win7 recognizes it as CONEXANT USB IAD LAN MODEM - When i tried to connect via ethernet, the ethernet light dint glow, and also in usb mode i cant connect to the internet.

Pls do help me to recover it.

Actually when i found that my modem has crashed and i need to buy a new one, i tried the upgrade beetaltool- beetal 200Bx upgrade - with T28-0q-003.img file probly that is ur update i found though i dont remember.

In ur above post Point 3. the ip lan add is 10.239.158.2 or 10.239.156.2

I have not changed anything of the modem, whatever is there is by default, so i cant say anything abt this.

Now lets forget whatever has happened,

Can i correct the modem to work it smoothely ? If yes how?.

instructions/ . use your own userId PW.

Now i want to run the modem with win7 ultimate via USB, so i dont want to convert the modem firmware to UT300R2U.
Is it possible to stay in the firmware of teracom and run it smoothely?

I tried to dl PPPoE Setup of UT300R2U AND Setting up UT300R2U v2.2 from ur signature links-- both of this file dl only 419MB AND 1.84MB and rar shows damaged format while extracting

Uinstall USb drivers ( if installed )
copy USB drivers to say C:/My Documents/Usb drivers.
Now connect cable to modem System.
Restart.
let windows 7 detect new Hardware.
upload dirver/s from above location.

system may crash "

Icon "safely remove Hardware" may appear in task bar.

1. I cant connect to the internet with BSNL, its another connection,
2. i installed the drivers for asl25020 but i dont see ASL25020 installation in the add remove programs, SO cant remove it.
3. i downloaded the software but which one is the firmware to upgrade, i tried the patches but it showed
