Thread: Wireless Modem

At present i have a BSNL broadband connection with smartAX MT882 modem/router(Type I as per BSNL).The modem has a ethernet and a USB port.I have got a new laptop,i am able to connect to internet from my laptop via the ethernet port from my modem.If i have connect the internet in my laptop through wireless mode,have i to replace my existing modem or attach an addtional attachment available which will help me to connect to the internet through laptop.If there is any such attachment,what is it and how much does it cost.

Having WIFI facility.

Cost at Bsnl Rs 1600/+ plus taxes.
Outside markets: Netgear WGR614 v6 wifi router
to be used along with Mt882 . Price around Rs 1500 to Rs 2000/=
