Thread: Need Help with configuring Beetle 450Tc1

Hi,

I have an internet connection with a local internet service provider, who probably have the server through airtel. I used to have beetel 450Bx1 which got misplaced or stolen during some renovation work at my home.

Everything had been fine till now, and the model was working fine and providing wireless connection as well. but now as i could not get 450Bx1, I purchased 450TC1 which is showing trouble in configuring. The internet service provider provide static IP, and requires configuring primary and secondry DNS on the model to make it work as a router, but both myself and the engineer from the internet service provider were not able to find a place where we could enter details for primary and secondry DNS.

BX1 did have an option to enter the DNS numbers but TC1 probably does not have one.

Can someone who has used beetel 450TC1 please advise.

Also, as if now the engineer has enabled bridge connection after entering the primary and secondary dns in the local network on the PC. Internet is working fine but wireless is not working.

As well as I need to connect 2 systems at the sametime which is also not working now.

Please check Beetel450TC1 may be similar to WA3002-G1

(a)You may have to change from Dialer Mode to "Always On " PPPoE mode.
(b)Enable DHCP in modem.
(c)In computer network settings LAN/WLAN
TCP/IP properties.
Obtain Ip address automatically.
(d)DNS use google new 8.8.8.8 and opendns 208.67.222.222

Copy/Paste data here ( No edit )

I am not at home now, so will not be able to check now, just want to mention again that the service provider is not one of the national provider, just a local one running the show. Only gives static IP

Hope the the setting that you provided is not specific to BSNL or Airtel

Since it is working now on a single system
no need to change VPI/VCI UserId/PW etc.
Static IP given, is for you to access the ISP.

Right its working on a single system now, and thats through bridge connection.

as my service provider hasn't provided any username/password do you think selecting PPPoE/PPPoA would work.

The only username and password i have been provided by them is to be used on a connection software called Cyberoam Client for 24Online.

Save /back up present working settings
in modem to say
C:/My Documents/IBF/ modem settings ok
( see under Maintainence /tools )
Presume in dialer mode. now.

PPPoE Always On needs UserId and PW to be entered in the modem.
The connection software may be a dialer window to connect in "Bridged" mode.

Try only the Wireless settings.
No other change required.
Get the laptop to work in Lan mode.
Then WLAN mode.
