    Default 3g vs broadband

Hey guys,I recently activated 3G in my mobile
and connected it to my computer to use it as a modem

The results were pretty good comparing latency

And Here are my home 512kbps results:

Isnt it challenging to ISP's that even mobiles have fast internet !!
We are well behing other countries like Japan who have speeds like 15mb/s on an average

Its not challenging.. its paying them..

A 3G User gets much on his mobile connectivity..

positive points of a 3G connection are
    1. mobility
    2. latency
    3. you can use it on mobile itself, without needing sophisticated devices.
    4. devices like 3G modem are far cheaper than otherwise expensive bb thingies,
    5. videocalling, mobile downloads,
    6. fair pricing..
Site from home gaya bhad mein... AIrtel se bolo FUP band kare.. BSNl se bolo 3G signal do!!!!>: (

Plus now with the auction and everyone coming into 3G
The rates of 3G wil be 100% cheaper than GPRS in next 2-3 years

Price will certainly come down as more and more users subscribe to 3 G. But GPRS will remain cheaper. May be people will use it as back up.

Yeah but GPRS may be eliminated if mobile phone companies remove EGDE and only keep 3G support

Plus in other countries 4G has already started,if once it comes to india then GPRS has no chance of survival

GPRS is like dial-up internet (56 kbps). Yes it will die sooner or later.
