Thread: Broadband - ECC Road/ Whitefield?

Looking for a broadband connection on ECC Road/ Whitefield .... can someone suggest a "reliable" service provider (based on personal usage experience preferably)?

I am looking for a home connection with unlimited usage and would like to "route" the connection to three machines, 2 wireless and 1 wired.

Looking forward to your suggestions.
Pls. do mention the package name/price along with your suggestion of the service provider.

I lived in whitefield (kadugodi near Sai asram) for a year and half (2005-6)
At that time no other broad band provider in whitefield.
I went to BSNL exchange (whitefield office near Rly.station)and checked availabilty and went to csc in Indira nagar and made payment.
Miracle-5th day both land line connection and broad band was set up in my house.I could not believe it. ( A Tamil lady JCTO was too kind and took personal interest )
In the year 2000 I have paid Rs 18k (for 2 lines each) for OYT and got connection after 1-2 months.

Drop in to whitefield office and meet the Enginner in charge.If they say vacant slot is there ,then you can pursue.
UL 1350 pack with a rental wireless modem from BSNL will connect 3-4 pc's at home -easily.(@2 mbps)

I think you may have Tata Indicom,Reliance,Airtel BB nowadays in whitefield.

If it is flat, check with neighbours in the same building first. If it is independent house,check in the street neighbours .

Avoid local cablewallahs,Tikona etc like Plague.

Note: I went to BSNL in desperation but was pleasently surprised.

I am too lazy nowadays to walk in to BSNL and apply.I live with 3G mobile data sticks.
