Default Which is the best broadband service (using USB modem) in Patna

I am located in Patna and planning to buy a USB stick for accessing internet. Can anyone please suggest which service is most reliable? I will use internet for audio/video chat on skype. I have heard a lot about photon plus. Any reviews?

I'm using Tata Photon Plus since past one year at Patna. It works well for almost 23 hours everyday. When it doesn't work, I switch to BSNL.

I suggest that you check its connectivity/speed at your location before purchasing it. If any of your friends or relatives own Tata Photon +, you may borrow it for few hours. Else you may ask Tata Photon's sales counter for a demo at your place.

    My speed results:

Thanks for the quick response. Your feedback gave me more confidence in the Photon+. Also couple of my friends are using MTS connection and are very happy with the service and its a lot cheaper. But I have come across very bad reviews about MTS service. Any feedback on that?

One friend of mine is using MTS too. He says it's good.

A shopkeeper told me MTS uses the infra of Tata Photon +. Essentially both provide the same service in terms of speed/stability. I'm not sure about MTS customer care. Tata Photon + CC treated my issues with all seriousness when I was facing them initially. They even replaced my device.

Go for BSNL EVDO connection. It gives you unlimited for 750 and speeds are upto 3.1 MBPS. I am also from Bihar and i am using the BSNL EVDO connection. It gives a speed upto 2 MBPS(250 KBPS)
