    Question Help me to choose a good ISP ! I want fast broadband in affordable price at Burdwan.

    I'm located at Memari, a small town of Burdwan District. I want broadband connection at home for personal use. I want any unlimited monthly/yearly package as I download a lot (movies, songs, software etc). My minimum internet need is 80 KBPS

    I have checked Sify's packages. I'm particularly interested in Sify's "Wireless 384 Kbps Unlimited 12 Month for Rs 5990/- " package.

    Here at Memari there is a small wireless ISP name 'wavenet.in'. They provide wireless internet at RS 500/- P.M which gives only 30 KBPS speed althouth they said its a 256 KBPS connection/

    Now can anyone suggest me whether I choose wavenet or not ? Can anyone suggest me a good ISP which is as reliable as fast and affordable?

    512 kbps= 64 KBPS

    So it gives speed around 64 KBPS and not kbps....Their is a big difference between KBPS and kbps..

    "kb=kolibits/KB=kiloBytes "

    Which broadband do you use ? Do u use bsnl ? Well true speaking there is some issues regarding to my residence so I cant go for bsnl. Moreover I live in such a place where there are no other ISPs exists. Therefore I have to go for wireless ISPs who works form long distance ! nearest big city Calcutta.

    I am using BSNL EVDO service. It gives speed around 2 Mbps. Check if their is Wimax or EVDO available in your area.
