Default Beam Fiber Broadband Upload Speed ?

    Hello Everyone

Anyone here using Beam Fiber Broadband 10 mbps unlimited plan?

I was thinking about taking the 10mbps plan but I upload data more than I download. So I want to know the upload speed of 10 mbps plan before and after the FUP limit.

    Thank you.

I just checked Beam tele's website and on their fair usage page they mention that their FUP does not apply on uploads so even after hitting your FUP you would be able to upload as much as you want is what I understand. I couldnt find any mention of what their upload speeds are for each plan. I believe it is best to give them a call.. I tried and their number listed on their website gave me an engaged tone. Dont forget to update this thread once you find out.

Thanks for your replies, Admin and Rahul!

I spoke to the customer executive and he says that both upload and download speeds are same for all plans but after hitting the FUP limit of 30 GB, both upload and download speeds fall down to 2 mbps for a 10 mbps plan.

Its not of much benefit to me because I have to upload data more often than I download.

Well, I bet you won't get a better deal for uploading anywhere else.
If you use beam only for uploading, you shouldn't have a problem.
Are you sure you'll be downloading more than 30 GB data a month? (Especially since you say you upload more than download).

    hello bugs,

    I was thinking the same.

I can set aside beam connection just for uploading and use any other connection for downloading if there is a risk that I may hit 30GB FUP limit. Because, as long as I do not hit the FUP limit, beam is offering the same upload speed... and you are probably right that there is no better deal for uploading from any other ISP.

If the FUP limit is reached both the upload and download speed is reduced by beam. So serious uploaders like me will have to rely on another connection for downloading if they want to get the most out of their beam broadband connection.

10 Mbps package is 15 Mbps since 2 months or so. But I didn't see any increase on Upload front.

Download: near peak levels. 1.7 MB/s for 15 Mbps, 256 KB/s for 2 Mbps line (post FUP, 30GB download)
Upload: NO FUP impact. I was getting (December) about 600-700 KB/s, sometimes up to 1MB/s. It depends on what you upload? Mine was on uTorrent.
