Help with choosing the the right broad band data card in Chennai

Hello members! I just joined this forum.

I want to go for a prepaid data card - USB dongle type -
for my laptop computer. I hear only horror stories about the various brands.

Could someone please point to a latest review of the various data cards offered in Chennai?
In any case, what brand model is currently considered to be the best data card in Chennai
( Please recommend both scenarios - a) economy model; b) Money is not important.

If location is a consideration, I live in the Adyar area.

Naina, I've used Tata Photon + near Mount Road, Chennai. It was good 3 years back. I suggest that you contact some neighbours living in your area. You may ask the network providers for a demo at your place too.

Most of the neighbours use post-paid cable connection!

As to network providers giving a demo, my past experience is - they make their impressive demo/sales pitch,
you sign up, and they leave, you find yourself struggling with a connectivity speed which is no faster than
a crawling turtle! or just hangs up!!

I need a high speed prepaid datacard connection that lives up to its vaunted claims.
