Unable to connect the cable modem with the bsnl wifi modem

I am using the ortel cable connection and they have provided the cisco DPQ2160 (cable modem) I need it to connect it with my WiFi bsnl broadband modem . Please suggest how to configure.

You cannot use a modem with a built in router as a stand alone router, It would be a mission to get it to work that way unless the router has this option built in. Please post the make and model of your router or just find out if it is meant to be used that way. I feel it is much easier to just spend Rs800 and get a new wifi router.
