Question What's your ISP's downtime credit policy?

    Hello,

Currently, my ISP is Tata Broadband, and as per its policies, if there's some issue with their service, my connection needs to be down for 72 hours constantly to be eligible for downtime credit. Apparently, I find that very tricky and inconvenient as their service is down frequently, but hardly ever for 72 hours constantly.

So, if you know what's your ISP's downtime credit policy, I'd appreciate it if you can share it. TIA.

I am using MTNL broadband and my connection was down for more then two months but I never received any credit. I am afraid the policy is probably different with every ISP and once you sign that contract you are bound by whatever is written in it so if it says 72 hours then we cannot challenge it unless there is a law that says otherwise.

@SmoothVibes: Thanks for your reply. I know that there's no way out once we've paid for a specific plan (at least till it ends), and that's why I'm looking for options.

And I'm sure that's only if they're not shady like a lot of ISPs are. Most will probably give zero credit once they take your money.
