    Default Bsnl 3g sim activation

If you buy a bsnl 3g sim,do take care that they recharge your account with 120rs. they charge extra!
I got my number activated yesterday and till now no balance also the website says that it provides 180 days validity! But no!*123#Says that i have validity upto 10 July and 0.00INR will expire on 23June!
Also when i call 1503 it says your account balance is 10rs,please recharge immediately! But in *123#It shows 0!

Also as a promotional offer,i am expected to get some amount of messages free,But that also none! And no video calls even!

After Rs 120 recharge, you get Rs 20 as talk time few MBs for data and some video call minutes. Seems like you have exhausted the Rs 20 limit and the data limit. Recharge your account with some data recharge voucher. Also keep your voice balance at Rs 50 atleast.

Visit nearest BSNL CSC, explain the situation and ask them to do the recharge for you.

BSNL SIM activation process has changed now. A televerification call to 1507 is needed and then the SIM is activated.

Does anyone know how long the activation process takes ? I got my new SIM televerified yesterday night but SIM isn't activated yet. The CSC asked me to wait for some more time - they have no control over the process as was the case earlier.

Have you tried switching off your phone and then back on? It is sarkari so cant say much on how long it would take but normally it shouldnt be more then a few hours. Depends on their work load really.

    Yes tried all that earlier.

It took 24 hrs for my SIM to get activated after the televerification completed- not 2-3 hrs as their call center told me initially.

Their call center also wasn't helpful when I called them to find when the SIM would be activated.

Just buy a normal BSNL 2G sim and recharge with any GPRS plan and you'll get 3G speed. Rs.219 gives 8 GB( 4GB day & 4GB night ).
