Right now it is not the best idea to get BSNL 3G for online gaming cause the latency is too high in every zone. I think most people are getting above 100ms ping which is not good for playing online games. But you can opt for adsl if online gaming is your main goal. My friends get 33ms in Airtel broadband connection which is an excellent value to play online games specially games like World of Warcraft and CS. the distance from the exchange would matter but you would surely get a value below 70 ms which is fine too.

i was getting 900 ping you will get kicked after few seconds because you will lag server.
