I'm quite sure all of us are angered with the speed capping done at 1Mbps when the speeds were said to be upto 3.6Mbps during the promotional offer. Lots of us have taken the 6 months plan and are now at the receiving end of this unjustified decision of BSNL.
I have gone to the various offices in Hyderabad and have brought it to their notice that they cannot be capping speeds or download limits since nothing was mentioned in the promotional offer. All the officers i've met were obviously at loss with words and said they would definitely bring it to the notice of the highest authorities.
Meanwhile I have lodged a complaint with the Department of Public Grievances, Government of India. Quite shockingly one of the offices I went today showed me the complaint forward they have received from the department to which apparently they HAVE to answer.
Now for the important part. I want everyone of you facing the issue to write in the complaint here : :: Grievance Registration Form ::

Please word it well, keep it short and mention the following :
1. Your number.
2. Your place of usage.
3. When have you taken the connection.
4. Terms and conditions at the time of taking (Unlimited usage at 3.6Mbps)
4. What plan. Validity.
5. Speeds you got earlier (3.6Mbps and above)
6. Speeds you are getting now and since when (1Mbps)
End it by asking them to act immediately and restore the speeds as said in the promotional offer without capping them.
Hopefully it will yield results.
