Unhappy Facing issues with BSNL 3G Data Card Software

    Hi All,

I am using a BSNL 3G data card. It was working fine fo the past 2-3 months. But now, all of a sudden, it has stopped working.

Normally, when I connect my data card to my computer, I get a window for connecting to the internet. This software used to startup automatically when I used to connect my device to my machine.

But now, the software no longer starts up. I tried to use the same device on another machine, and it is working fine there(Hence nothing wrong with the device). So I tried to uninstall the software, but then my software is no longer visible in the Add or Remove programs list of Windows 7. Also the shortcut files that used to exist on my desktop seem to have been broken. I uninstalled the device driver software using a third party freeware, and then again tried to connect my devie to my Computer, the drivers get reinstalled, but the software(which helps to connect to the internet) fails to start.

Please guide me as to how I can solve this problem. Let me know if anyone needs any more inputs.

    Help would be highly appreciated.

Use Revo uninstaller, clean traces of previous installations and do a fresh install.

Make sure that you have no deactivated necessary start up programs.

Thank you all for your responses....

Dont know if Revo uninstaller would work...as i did not try it out....Formatting my machine was not an option...So i tried out something else..Just out of the blue...

So before I tried any of the above said options, I did this:

    1. I installed the 3G modem on another latop(say LAP2) of mine
    2. Copied all the files that were created on LAP2 inside BSNL 3G directory under program files
    3. Pasted them into the BSNL 3G directory in Program files

Guess what!!!! Now everything is working fine...

Thank you all for your responses...

Putting in the steps I performed just in case someone else lands up on this thread!!!!

this would have happened because of registry change due to which autorun would have got stopped.
