using samsung r439 laptop and mmx310g 3g usb manager and a bsnl sim. getting this error. have done regitry cleaning and repair and all dat stuffs. reinstalled too. but still unable to connect. pls help

I would suggest you todo a SFC scan. System File Checker (SFC) checks that all Windows XP system files are where they should be as they were by default and not corrupted, changed, or damaged.

a. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator.

b. Click Continue or supply Administrator credentials if prompted.

c. In the Command Prompt window type the following, and press Enter:

sfc /scannow

d. You should see the following on-screen message:

§ Beginning the system scan. This process will take some time.

§ Beginning verification phase of system scan.

e. Verification % complete.

f. Once the scan has completed, test to see whether the issue that you are experiencing is resolved or not.

In your laptop do you get any other ssid's ?
Do you still have Bsnl adsl BB connection ?router Siemens sl2 -141?

Ya, the computer works fine with bsnl wifi and nokia pc suite internet connections. Have deleted all settings now but still the problem persists.

Step 1: Restart your computer. If you still have the error, go onto step 2

Step 2: Delete your BSNL connection.
To delete your BSNL connection, right-click the mouse button, and left-click on Delete. Then reinstall BSNL according to the XP directions. If this does not correct the error, go onto step 3

Step 3: You now need to remove the modem.
Go to Control Panel, Phone and Modems, Modems tab. Highlight the modem, and click on Remove. After which, close everything, restart your computer and Windows will reinstall the modem for you.

This is a 'bug' in the Windows XP operating system. It may or may not occur.

went to service center. other modems working, eg huwaii, idea, docomo etc but not dis one. seems its not compatible. so gonna get a huwaii one for myself. thanks for all your support.

Did you try it in a laptop NOT having Windows 7?

Any driver updates specially for Windows 7 in their web site?

Firstly, I had an issue with the device being recognized on Windows 7 x64 bit machine.] I had to reboot and reinstall the software every time i wanted to connect. But this problem phased out itself and I don't have this issue anymore. Also, this issue was only with 3G sims, 2G sims ran perfectly.................
