Thread: BSNL 2G to 3G--HOW TO ??

Well I am pospaid customer of BSNL using 225 plan. Now I want to move to 3G. I am not moved yet. I have 10Mbps beam broadband connection unlimited postpaid connection. I have router whihc serves the purpose for my smart phone when i am at home.
my concerns are
1. 3G/ H symbols are showing on my smartphone does that mean I can use 3g speeds on my 2g sim .now the speeds are 20kbps.
2. can I use the same 225 plan after converting into 3g.
3. what exaclty is the converting means does they change the sim or does they activate any vas service.?
4. if they allow me to use the same 2g plan will i have to pay any minimum charges just because I am using 3g service.

My advice to you would be NOT TO GO FOR 3G ON POSTPAID"...as not even the BSNL guys know what all tariffs are there...at the end you will be given a HUGE AMOUNT as BILL...its better to use 3G on prepaid than on postpaid! If you dont believe me...go through the THREADS already there in the BSNL 3G section of this forum...It has happened to people before..and im sure there's no end to this.

Then please address my all other queries mentioned. yes I have seen several posts complaining that they have got 1 to 4 lakhs bill.
