Talking BSNL unlimited 3G -FUP 5 GB -bull crap!

BSNL wants to join the deceptive unlimited ( fine print FUP) broadband scam perperated by Tata Shitphoton ,Reliance net -no-connect and MTS Emmmmblaze.

It is basically 5GB @ rs 992. ( Read average 3G speed 512 kbps and up to 2-3 mbps max - evenings slow because of too many customers .not to mention constant switching back and forth to Gprs and dis connection!)

100 kbps (12.5 kBps) is crap compared to Airtel,Vodafone,Uninor who give average 20 to 30 kBps in GPRS packages (160 to 240 kbps)
all leading operators GPRS 1 GB @rs 98. Only uninor 6 Gb-rs 90.But signal may not ne good everywhere.

so called free 100 kbps internet is basically useless.

The fact is BSNL increased prices and all the other 3G operators (Airtel,Vodafone,Aircel) gave double dhamka in 3G top up and offered same or cheaper prices with better un interruped quality 3G.

So BSNL see revenue in the form of 3G data top up sales (prepaid) has gone down substantially.

Instead of taking the MTNL's strategy of cheaper prices compared to private operators, BSNL is just re arranging the chairs in Titanic.

That said-consumers in small towns have no other choice than BSNL. I still keep a small 3G pre paid recharge for travel in up country .

Those who use post paid 3G (10-20% of the total base)may not change short term and it is a fat profit centre for all 3G/2G operators.

Consumers like me who carry one dual sim phone for voice only and another android/or say any 3G phone for internet related applications have the liberty of shopping/changing often for the cheapest /value for money 3G pre paid data schemes.

If you carry one smart fone and use it for both voice and data ---you are screwed and at the mercy of the operator if they increase rates!
