Default BSNL restarts Unlimited 3G Data Plan

BSNL have deactivated and activated a lot of internet and calling packs these days, and yet again they have relaunched their unlimited 3G data pack. The two unlimited 3G data packs are for users in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh circles, and if these two unlimited packs are a success they will also be launched in other circles across India.

Here is a look at the BSNL 3G unlimited packs:

Plan 1: 1GB 3G data is provided with a validity of 28 days. Once the 1Gb data has finished the speed of the data will be 80kbps. Cost of this pack will be Rs241

Plan 2: 2GB 3G data will be provided with validity of 28 days, and when 2Gb data has exceeded then the data speed limit will be 80kbps. Cost of this pack will be Rs351.

Good initiative but these prices are no better from what private operators are offering. What is point of having a state run telecom company? Shame on the fat babu who makes these plans. I see a private-public partnership going on behind closed doors and the fat babu getting even more fatter. I hope the fat babu explodes one day.

MTNL is more or less dead and their phone lines in old areas are not even good for a telephone to work without problems. BSNL is no different thanks to the babudom that prevails. Modi government will hopefully do something to either reform bsnl and use it as a tool to keep prices low or just privatize it if you cannot manage it.

These prices are higher then some private companies. I dont understand what the purpose of having BSNL is any more.

These are not bad plans, as far as they go being unlimited, but with the 80kbps speed limit after data provided it seems a bit rubbish as pages would take quite a long time to open up.
