Default Unable to access twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram

I am from Gujarat using bsnl 3G. As I have mentioned above in the title I am unable to access twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram and a few other services on my Bsnl 3G (though everything works fine on bsnl broadband). Strange thing twitter is accessible via browser not with the app! I want to know anyone facing similar kind of problem like mine? And possibly the solutions as well.

Well, I have a similar problem, I have the app to a certain service that I can use without any problem and access the service without any bugs but when I try to access it using my web browser I can't access it or when it loads it has lots of bugs. I think it has to do with my device not being compatible with the browser version of the service, maybe I need to upload it.

Maybe you have a similar problem, but the opposite, maybe the app isn't available for your device, or if it's available it doesn't work properly! It has nothing to do with the internet service you use, if you can access it using the browser. Try to install another app that lets you access twitter, or Instagram. Sometimes independent developers create apps that are best than the oficial one!

Try changing your DNS to Google or OpenDNS and see if that helps.

I think if you don't find the solution to this by another means, the best option would be do a complete hardware reset of your phone after backing up.

You can contact your internet provider. They can solve that on the best way. If they can't help you, I don't know :P Ask in another forum.

One of my friends was facing such an issue and he got it resolved through BSNL Customer Care. In fact after trying too many times over phone, he had to visit the BSNL office and get the GPRS settings changed there itself. Even though BSNL customer service is pathetic, that is the only way to go I think. Hope your other Internet options/sites are working fine.

You're right @webworld! BSNL is simply pathetic at their service. However, what would be the relation with the GPRS settings and Twitter? I mean can it really cause a problem? There might be a downtime issue with the site or any other issue except for the GPRS settings.

I just gave up the idea of going for a BSNL landline broadband connection becuase of their pathetic customer care. My neighours had been facing issues on voice and data for the last 7-10 days and even after complaining a number of times they were least bothered to check it. I finally purchased a Huawei WiFi dongle which I can use with my Idea SIM. I just place it somewhere where there is good coverage and acccess it in my laptop through WiFi. There are some setting issues which will be sorted out shortly.

There is no cable required and all what you require is a power source for the dongle.

Even I gave up on BSNL after getting pathetic service and poor customer support from their side. Whenever they sent a lineman to check out the issue, they always told me that there's no issue with the line and maybe, its a temporary issue.
After getting enough stupid excuses like this, I finally removed the service from my house and just like you, I also rely om dongle but that costs me way too much. :/
