Hi guys,
I am from Gorakhpur(UP).I applied for a bsnl UL750 PLus plan .after one week i was given the land line and broadband connection.Things were fine for one month.But after one month some problem came into my modem.
When at morning time i switch on my modem then all lights start blinking simultaneously.It took 15-30 minutes to get the lights stablized.
After some days the modem stopped working.Now the lights were not coming to the stable state.I went to the bsnl exchange and met the SDO.he told me to talk to the technical person ,I went to him and he again sent me to the SDO.
When i gave my application for the modem replacement to the SDO he said "aapne modem kharab kar diya 1 month mein hi".I told him whats my fault in it .But we kept arguing with me.Then i told him that if u cant replace my modem then get my connection disconnected and i will make a complain for the same through bsnl portal.
Then unwillingly he took my application and wrote something on it and threw it towards me.Then i again went to the technical guy and gave him the application.
He took a new siemens modem and said i am coming 2 ur home u leave.
After 30 minutes he came 2 my home and said i need to pay 250 as installation charges.I asked him that for the first time when i took the connection then at that time u configured and i will be charged for the same in my bill..he told that no this time also u will have to pay 250.when i asked for receipt he started shouting.After alot of debates he configured my modem and went back giving me warning that next time he will not come in case of problem.
->First thing i never called him at home.becoz i know how to configure the modem.I just said him to check the modem and then give it to him.checking can be done at exchange also but his intentions were wrong so he came 2 my house.
Neways my modem was replaced.But i will not suggest any one to take bsnl broadband.They give service in a way like that they are doing something extra for you.
Now just pray 2 god this modem works fine so that again i need not 2 go to exchange.

Those guys are trying to rip you off. That is why he was unwilling to give you a receipt. They cannot charge installation charges again. He wanted to pocket the money himself. BSNL provides one year warranty on modems unless modems are damaged by circumstances that can be attributed to user's fault.

I got my modem replaced at no charge after 10 months of use. Please check my experience: http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...ions-bsnl.html (My interactions with BSNL). And I paid not a single paisa for this.
