Thread: Unstable BSNL connection

Hey. I'm new here.

I lived in Manipal and subscribed to BSNL unlimited 900+ plan. My house is using wireless connection. My problem is the internet on my computer basically gets disconnected every 5 minutes, making it difficult for me to surf the net and download stuffs. Does the problem concerns my modem or BSNL internet connection?

Give your modem/wifirouter details.
Are you using WIFI mode only ?
Connect all phones AFTER the ADSL splitter.
Use extra ADSL splitter for extensions in other rooms.
Confirm the phones are not noisy.
If the wireless signal strength varies , there could be attenuation in your BSNL line.

Yes! There may be noise in your telephone line. I am facing this type of problem during the rainy day. Other days everything is fine. Is there anybody who is facing this problem with rain???? If so then please help me what to do???

type 192.168.1.1 in your internet browser (doesnot require internet connection, but MODEM MUST BE ON). When it asks for username and password type admin in both fields.

Search for SNR values that is displayed some where on the page. for more details on snr check the link given bellow.

SNR value should be above 20db. If not thats what causing the problem and you should contact BSNL immediately.
