Thread: Always ON setup

Hi Everybody

I am currently on the BSNL H500 Plan and I am using UT300R2U Type 1 modem.

Could someone please tell me the settings so that my net connection is always ON? Currently I have to go through Start --> Settings --> Network Connections route and explicitly get connected. However, I want to set up the modem such that whenever I switch on my machine, a connection should be established.

A quick reply will be highly appreciated.

And in search engines this thread title will not list UT300R2U. easily.
See, my response was also delayed.

Para two : you have to access modems settings. see calcutta website web page.
usual for all modems.
Go to WAN Page Uncheck "Bridged" select PPP/PPPoE
enter your userID ( without @bsnl.in)
enter Password ( as given by BSNL)
If "always ON" is available check . Idle time , if any 0 sec (* may or may not be there in this model )
Save and REBOOT. wait for two or three minutes.
You should connect automatically to internet now.
