    Default help me

    guys i m new to this thread. i m using bsnl home 500 c with UT-300R2U modem but when i connect to broadband. modem respond for just 4 to 5 minutes but after that it stops responding and broadband doesnt works. i called admin for that but they said that every thing is fine on their part. plz ....... help .

    Para two :
    Go to "Diagnostics" page IN THE MODEM and check up, when connection is Ok & WHEN CONNECTION FAILS. .

    thanks for u r reply but u have provided settings for windows xp but i have windows vista home premium . plz provide settings for windows vista

    modem settings should work for VISTA.
    You are already getting connected,
    but problem is intermittent connection.
    In TCP/IP properties uncheck IPV6 . ONLY IPV4.
    ( recommended in some forum/s)


    See para two of my previous post.
    Open in IE 192.168.1.1 user Id admin password admin or utstar
    see the menu on the left.
    select the diagnostics page if any .
    Check when connected and disconnected.
    OR
    Report SNR/ATTN/LINEspeed /mod details usually under ADSL menu item.
    Presume all phones connected AFTER the ADSL splitter.

    are you on ppoe mode or bridged mode?? connected via USB or LAN?

    Even I had some problems and even I have read that thing but it didn't help much. As you know currently it's IPV4. So I just neglected that IPV6 thing.

    it is not happening for me i m in ppoe mode with LAN . even i cant log on to 192.168.1.1 when this problem starts

    i have checked my SNR margins they are 36.5 down and 11.5 upstream . my line attenuations are 20 down and 8 up. plz reply any suggestions
