    Default Is it O.K?

    I recently got a 500C+ connection from BSNL.I download torrents from 2-8 in the morning.I get a speed of around 40-50kbps for each torrent and the total speed doesn't go more than 260kbps.Do all the users have the same speeds or am I getting less?I even tried port forwarding and all that stuff.

    Are you saying kbps or KBps. There is a factor of 8 between the two. If you are getting 260 KBps then you should be more than satisfied. If you are getting 260 kbps then you are getting woefull speeds. In that case check whether port is forwarded.

    I think seashock means 260 Kilo bytes per sec. Since 40-50 kbps per torrent probably means 40~50 KB/s.

    ^^ Are you sure that you are getting 260 KBps. I really don't think this is possible. Max speed that I have experienced is 240 KBps.

    if he is living just next to exchange then i think 260kilo bytes per second speed is possible on 2meg line.
    If you are getting 260 transfer rate then you need to be more than satisfied and if possible call your local exchange people for a dinner at home for such a wonderful service otherwise take them out for a day

    @seashock:
    You are experiencing good speeds. I have downloaded maximum of 4.5 GB in one night. But 3.5 GB per day is not bad.
